Hydraulic Engineering Arid Lands Award Nominations

Surface Water Hydrology Committee members:

 

Nominations are now due for the Hydraulic Engineering Arid Lands Award.  As you know the SWHC makes a recommendation each year to the Awards Committee as to which nominee we would like to receive this award.  Our recommendation is usually selected.  It's important to have a good number of nominees from which to select one.  To have your nominee considered by the control group for next year's award please send your nominations to me by September 15.

 

Attached is the standard form for Award nominations.  In addition to the form, nominations should include the following:

1.  A nominating letter (one or two pages) stating why this person is most deserving of the award.

2.  The curriculum vitae of the nominee.  The CV should include professional experience (including teaching, research, consulting, etc.), awards, professional organizations, and publications (these lists get long and some nominations have separately listed those pertaining to arid lands).

3.  Three or four letters supporting the nomination (one or two pages each).

 

Some have also included  a particular paper that the nominee is known for.
