Douglas A. Kramer is the owner of the small surveying firm, applied Surveying Technologies, which is in
Fleetwood, Pennsylvania. He started his company in the spring of 1995 following 20 plus years of experience in
diverse survey-related work. His professional development includes attendance of survey-related courses
totaling over 400 hours of instruction. Doug is a Past President of PSLS, a Past Chairman of the PA Land
Surveyors' Foundation and had served on the Exam Committee of the PSLS for five years. At the 1995 and 1996
Surveyors' Conferences, he was a co-instructor for a workshop titled "Land Title Surveys". In 1991 he was the
recipient of the Pennsylvania "Surveyor of the Year" award. In 1998, he presented a course on "Writing Legal Descriptions" at the
P.S.L.S. Surveyors' Conference.
